Customer Reviews
My cousin has a previous version which I thought was good however this version is fantastic to use and is so very easy to navigate around the programme. Its a real bonus having access to Ancestry for 3 months, where we have even managed to find old army records for great grandfather and other ancestors. The Scottish Census are included however all the Scottish records are not becoming available until next year, this has not been too much of an issue though as we have managed to trace alot. Be prepared to become addicted
Found the programme excellent but had real difficulties registering. Tried e mailing Ancestry's support and back up but with little success. Eventually found a uk phone number for ancestry and registered over the phone, the young lady being most helpful. Without registering of course you can not get access to the free 3 month access to Ancestry. The programme itself is very, very good. Easy to use, easy to navigate between people and the charts and print outs of first rate quality. I was tempted to return the product to Amazon because of the difficulties experienced with registering the product. On this side I found Amazons staff really helpful with first class advice and follow up, but because of the quality of the actual programme I decided to persevere with trying to register. Hopefully this is now all sorted out. But as I say first rate service from amazon and a first rate programme, just the hitch with the registering side. Well here we are again. I have managed to register and get the 3 month essential package but the programme will still not register through the computer to obtain updates, web search etc etc. I have phoned, talked to technical staff etc without any success. There are guide notes on what to do when it wont register, so it is not an isolated problem. So ultimately I have decided to disconnect the programme from the net and just use it as a straight 'recording tree'. Great shame, I could have bought the basic 'Who do you think you are' for far less money and got the same result.
