Customer Reviews
I have to say, on the whole, I am disappointed with this software. Ever since Ulead was taken over by Corel, I have struggled with their software. I have also bought Corel VideStudio X2 and X3 - similar issues.
On the face of it, if you want a straightforward photo editing program with the ability to do photo albums, cards, postcards, calendars etc etc, this program could be ideal for you. From what I have seen, the program has a clean interface, and the menus are easy to navigate. You can either print off using your own printer - or sign in and have Corel do them for you - BEWARE though as this option is very expensive!
The problem, being that I found the program "buggy". I am running a brand new computer using Windows 7, with a pretty good hard drive, memory, graphics card etc - and all up to date. Yet as soon as I installed the program, it stopped working. I did the usual de install and re install but to no avail. I did contact Corel support and on one hand they do keep in touch but on another they fail to resolve the issues. When you first install the program, it also takes a while as it will search your computer for al photos and videos.
Since I installed the program, Corel have released an update. Not sure if this is just my computer /set up or not...but please be aware. Not a great program for me by all accounts.
Poor recommendation.
I have tried many photo packages over the years and PhotoShop Express 2010 is the worse package I've ever used. It has a good visual presentation and a modern approach. The designers, however have completely neglected building in the flexibility to sort and organize photo's. This is particularly the case for users starting off with a large number of photo's in folders. For years I have used Corel Photo Album 6. This is no longer available and Corel will only sell Corel Album 7 to US customers. Corel Album 6 although oldfashioned in appearance is absolutely superb for sorting and organizing photo's.
