OK, this isn't the cheapest software for accounting but lets be honest here, the cheaper ones tend to not only confuse but leave you wondering why you'd want to do this side of things yourself. In comes Business Accountz Professional which not only keeps it in simple easy to understand terms but also aids you in creating documents to help keep things in line.
The interface is something that even a novice can use, helps give you options to change the VAT levels, handle foreign money (which is a blessing in itself) and of course also helps to keep everything in easy to follow detail alongside giving the user help in spending less time on this through a lot of the inputted information.
Finally add to this good help from the providers end and all in, its definitely a package that any small business should utilise to help keep the Tax Man off their back.
I'll concede that that Z in the name may be a little offputting (it's not the mid 90s, after all) but the package is superb for small to lower-end medium sized businesses. It's compatible with just about every major operating system so shouldn't pose problems for MAC users, and though you'll have to upgrade as your business does, this ought to cover those early years just fine. So long, Excel Databases.
