Chroma Key with ease
Adding a real life background has never been easier. Just film your movie sequence in front of a blue or green screen, select the frame you want to apply your background to, and load in your image file. I Can Animate supports a wide range of image formats including jpg, gif, bmp, png and pdf. By moving the image or zooming in on different frames, I Can Animate can tween the image to give the effect of a moving background.
Drawing Layer
Want to include an object flying through the air but don't want the string you're using to be visible, or do you have a frame with a hand in the way? Why not use the in-built drawing tool to draw around the object and then fill it with the same colour as the background? You can even use the drawing tool to put together 2D animations if you like!
Onion skin multiple frames
I Can Animate's onion skin feature allows you to view the last captured frame whilst simultaneously previewing the live feed coming from the camera. This enables you to ensure that movements you make are consistent, and of course, if you knock the camera, realigning the image is much easier! I Can Animate will onion skin up to five frames consecutively including the live feed.
Multiple cameras supported
Whether you're shooting the latest Hollywood blockbuster, or just filming for fun, you're bound to find a camera in your budget that works with I Can Animate. From Apple's built in iSight, to USB Webcams or even Firewire DV cameras - the choice is yours!
Copy frames seamlessly
Don't waste time filming repeated sequences. With I Can Animate, the duplicate frames feature allows you to copy selections of frames, and even reverse the order, so filming a sequence like a hand wave can be executed much easier and quicker, saving you time and effort.
Time Lapse
Whether you want to film a stunning sun set, or a plant growing, I Can Animate's time lapse facility means you can shoot single frames at a set rate over an unlimited time period, and then watch it back in a fraction of the time.
Share at the click of a mouse

Was a christmas present for 11 year old- the softwear is great , easy to load , straight forward to use and start straight away. They had used similar in a school project , which probabaly helped; it took only a few minutes to set up with very little adult input required , then on with production of animation shorts. It was bought along with hue web cam , they work well together.

This package is ideal for all those (young ; old!) who want to make and enjoy animated films. All you need is a video camera or, much cheaper but equally effective, a webcam. I purchased a perfectly adequate webcam on Ebay for a few pounds. You can animate solid objects moving, paper cut outs, drawings or plastecine models (like Morph). The software is easy to use and rewarding results are almost guaranteed.One extra facility I have just tried is time lapse filming. I set up a tray of cress seeds on wet cotton wool with a light and the camera, leaving it over a weekend when away from home. An image was taken every hour and the resulting film was brilliant- even though I say it myself!
There are more sophistcated packages available but "I Can Animate" is a great introduction.
