    Customer Reviews

This is without doubt the worst piece of software I have ever bought.
Nice box, so so instruction manual, but unfortunately it doesn't work. Failed to erase data on hard disk (cleaning out disk before selling PC)made several attempts all failed. Even using in boot mode did not work as the software failed to find hard drive. Very poor, don't waste your money on this. One star for the nice box.

There are two products here - a drive eraser and a file eraser.
The former is only capable of erasing whole partitions on a drive so realistically you are not going to use it that often, unless you have a large number of old hard drives waiting to be erased. But it is useful to have when you need it.
The latter is arguably more useful in that you can permanently delete specific files.
Installation was rather arkward and the interface and operation of the software was rather clunky. The drive erase software created a shortcut on the desktop, the file eraser did not - so I wasnt even certain where to find it - but the program listing claered that up.
In operation both give you options on the level of erasing (basically the whole partition/drive/file is overwritten with o's 1's or a variety of characters once or several times) but be warned - the higher the level the greater the time needed to complete the operation. At higher levels partions can take many many hours to complete.
Overall it didnt have the feel of a user friendly piece of software.
