If you are looking for a basic photo shop type tool, then this could be the one for you.
I would recommend this to anyone who wants to do basic touching up of photos and who has got into digital photography.
This comes with a really good manual which goes through how to use each part of the software (the manual has about 375 pages). It shows you how to create your own calendars and greeting cards (very useful if you are short of cash or just want to give a unique gift/card).
There are so many things you can do to your photos, you can do the usual creating a slide show, turning your photo into a pencil drawing or an oil painting or an expressionist painting etc.
You can even morph your photos, so you can go from you in the first photo to a turnip in the last
I loaded the software in and even got rid of a chicken pox scar on my forehead in about two minutes, so you can quite easily touch up pictures without too much trouble.
It is one of the easiest photo manipulation pieces of software I have used. And like I said before, if you have just got into digital photography or computers, then this is the software for you (mainly as it is really cheap and easy to use).

I am an enthusiastic amateur photographer on a budget. I use a decent, high-end digital camera, though not an SLR, which takes nice pictures. I have used Photoshop a bit, and find it useful if not terribly user friendly.
Photo Explosion takes all the bits of Photoshop that the average user will use most often, and packages them in a nicer way. Image touch up, calibration, 'airbrushing' etc are all there. It also allows more advanced techniques like morphing, which is good fun. Pictures come out looking pin sharp. I haven't used it for printing yet, as my printer is on the fritz, but I expect it will be easy to use as the rest of the programme.
Recommended for those looking for a more straightforward solution than Photoshop.
