Customer Reviews

I've only used the drive image backup/restore utility so far, which works much the same as the 2009 version but is a bit more Windows 7 friendly. I've already used it successfully for a real system restore. Drive letters are still one-adrift on restore though, which would alarm the inexperienced I feel... Also included is a dual-boot utility which is well described in the "help" section but needs updating for W7. Scaredy-pants hasn't plucked up enough courage to try it out though, so good luck with that!

Ordered this after a lot of research to find an alternative to Win 7 backup. First off, the help/instruction files at first sight seem overly complex and in some areas downright confusing, but after a while you get to understand what they are saying.
My first test was the complete backup of one of my HDD to an external USB drive. The process is simple and allows total control over ot files to backup. The time taken to backup was reasonably fast although a later attempt using a direct SATA connection was far superior. The backup file when viewed through the restore tool was all present and allowed resoration of individual files `simple`.
The migration tool was superb for migrating my drive to an SSD, performed superbly. A tip when using the clone tool to clone your main OS drive. Ensure once completed you remove the newly cloned drive before rebooting the system as the machine does not like to bootable drives for some reason and renders the new drive non bootable, I don`t know what it does but when removing it before reboot all works fine.
The clean wip facility appears to be what is says and defies my attempts to restore any data after using it. So far the package does what it says on the box and I am well pleased, I shall experiment with all theother tools in due course.
