It runs smoothly on our Windows 7 machine. This was a gift for my other half -- who had been somewhat frustrated, not being able to find "decent" card making software. She is absolutely ecstatic about it -- she loves it. So, I've scored a few brownie points.
I am happy to recommend this program - based on my seeing it in use almost every day, since it was delivered, about seven days ago. And, I must admit that I have used it myself, a couple of times. Personalised cards are a nice touch.
A friend of mine has an older version of this software; it seems quite similar. So, I'd recommend this to new users, but not people who have the previous version.
I say this because I own a very ancient copy of this software and when I installed this new one and looked through the various options I was staggered. There are thousands of cards and projects to make if you so wish although I sometimes use my own pics and jazz them up by using the Hallmark borders, fonts and artwork. Every single Birthday Card, Yule Card etc., I have ever made has always been done using Hallmarks software. Now it seems, I can have even more fun.
There is a Digital Photo Editor which allows you to remove red-eye, adjust the colours of your photos and much, much more. There are some superb text effects and above all, it is dead easy to make cards using this software. Another impressive feature is that you can now make your own Hallmark e-cards to which you can add music and any pre-recorded sounds. I am busting to try this one out! I shall use one of my Siamese cats yowling in a card, that should be fun.
I love making my own cards because they are more personal plus you don't get the dreadful sugary sentiments already written inside of shop bought cards. I don't like to blow my own bugle so to speak but I always get complimented on the cards I make and often asked 'where did you buy this from'? To save this question being asked, I always put a picture of a Siamese cat on the back of the card with my trademark logo..........sorry, that one's a secret.
Do give this a go, it will give you hours of fun plus save you money in the long run.
